After its successful first season which saw close to US$1M worth of investments made into Philippine startups, the reality business TV show The Final Pitch, launches its second season. It will have an all-new cast of Investor Judges and a new airing network. The Final Pitch is the country’s first TV show that links entrepreneurs to multi-millionaire and billionaire investors who are searching to own a piece of the next big business idea. Initially airing its first season on History Channel, the second season will now be aired on CNN Philippines.

“We’ve put together an exciting cast of new Investor Judges who are raring to find and invest in entrepreneurs and businesses-whatever size, stage, and industry they’re in,” shares the creator and host of The Final Pitch, entrepreneur TV producer John Aguilar.

Aguilar has assembled a formidable lineup of investors. Among them, the multi-awarded President and CEO of Mega Global Corporation – manufacturer and distributor of Mega Sardines, William Tiu Lim; former president and chief strategy and innovation officer of LBC Express and now CEO of digital logistics company Quad X, Fernando “Dino” Araneta; Air Asia Zest Philippines and Globalport co-founding owner and sportsman, Mikee Romero; and lastly, 27-year old millennial founder and managing director of real estate consultancy firm Prime Philippines, Jet Yu.

Entrepreneurs who are picked by the Investor Judges after an initial pitch session will go through a month-long business boot camp and series of challenges; eventually pitching to the show’s investors in a once-in-a-lifetime pressure-packed Final Pitch, from which the show derives its name.

In addition to the potential funding from the investors, contestants will receive business coaching and even funding and business support opportunities from an esteemed lineup of the show’s partners such as BPI Foundation, Insular Life, and Inquirer Academy. In particular, social entrepreneurs are encouraged to audition as BPI Foundation has come in to invest a P500,000 equity-free grant to a deserving social entrepreneur of its choice.
